so, what's a "fixated clique," anyway?

Dictionary definition of clique: "An exclusive circle of people with a common purpose."

In internet terms, a clique is a place for people with similar interests to be listed - as a way of agreeing with the statement made at the site where one joins. Sometimes, cliques are for something very serious, like "we vow not to drink and drive," and other times, they're not.

This one in particular: The X-Files is one of those rare programs that works on many levels: As entertainment and escapism, of course; but also as something to make you think, to spur discussions among family and friends, and maybe even to validate ideas you thought only you had. So, the clique members are basically people who "get" that.
